Sally's Morning doTerra Blends
Between running a business, taking care of my little one and feeling the effects of pregnancy the second time around, my days start early. This grounding and awakening blend is one of my favourite rituals to get me up and ready to face the day.
My current go-to blend:
- 2 drops Frankincense
- 2 drops Patchouli
- 2 drops Sandalwood
Frankincense helps me to focus my energy and minimise distractions so I am able to clear my mind for the day ahead. Patchouli and Sandalwood both work to calm my body and keep me relaxed, something much needed as it comes to the last weeks of my pregnancy. Patchouli also works to enhance the healing effects of the other two oils I use which is why I’m loving this blend so much.
Pregnancy is one of the most amazing times in a woman’s life but it can also be extremely stressful. In addition to the usual strains growing a child can have on your body, there are a number of unknowns which can play on your mind.
As well as my current blend I’ve found a few really helpful and beneficial oils specifically for pregnancy.
The Grounding Blend has an amazing calming and relaxing aroma that almost instantly transports my mind and soul into a blissful state. I find that it helps to establish a feeling of harmony in my body and provides a stable balance to the whirl of emotions. This blend has a variety of oils known for grounding and soothing the body and relieving tension which I find helpful in these high-pressure days.
I find myself needing to fortify my mind and body for my future and have been uplifted with the Orange oil. As well as elevating myself this oil is a great help in balancing emotions and boosting my immune system. You can either diffuse this oil in your home, apply it to the skin, or add it to your morning drink for a glorious citrus flavoured drink.
Surrounding yourself with fierce and supportive people in life is a must, the addition of these oils and my jewellery creates a perfect harmony between mind, body and soul.
